Bar Numbering

Bars can be numbered automatically by Musink. If bar numbering is on, Musink will automatically adjust bar numbers as you add or remove bars. By default, bar numbering is off. To turn bar numbering on:

  1. Click Edit from the menu bar
  2. Select Bar Numbering
  3. A window will appear
  4. Check the Number Bars checkbox
  5. Press OK

Bar numbers are automatically generated, so you cannot edit them like normal text marks. You can, however, hide individual bar numbers from publishing, and move them above or below the stave in the normal way. To change how bar numbering works:

  1. Click Edit from the menu bar
  2. Select Bar Numbering
  3. Check the Number Bars checkbox, if it is not checked
  4. Change any options you wish to change
  5. Press OK

To turn bar numbering off:

  1. Click Edit from the menu bar
  2. Select Bar Numbering
  3. Uncheck the Number Bars checkbox
  4. Press OK

Skip Bars

Sets the number of bars which will be skipped before bar numbering starts. For example, if you wanted bar numbering to start on the 3rd bar, you would set this to 2 ('skip the first 2 bars'). This is zero by default.

Place Number Every

Sets how often to place a bar number. For example, if you wanted to show a bar number every 4 bars, you would set this to 4.

First Number

Sets where counting starts from. For example, if you wanted bar 1 to be shown as '15', you would set this to 15. This does not change which bar has the first number in it. This is 1 by default.
