Bars

To create bars:

1. Click Project from the menu bar
2. Select Add Bars…
3. Select where to add bars by moving the mouse to the appropriate position and clicking
4. Select the number of bars you wish to add
5. If you wish to select a different time signature unclick the choose automatically checkbox.
6. Press OK

To remove multiple bars:

1. Holding shift, double click the first bar you wish to delete
2. Holding shift, double click the last bar you wish to delete
3. Press delete, or select Project –> Delete Bars

To delete a single bar quickly:

1. Click Project from the menu bar
2. Select delete bars
3. Select the bar you wish to delete

An anacrusis (incomplete bar; upbeat; upbeat figure; pickup bar) can be created by using Musink's visibility functionality. To create an anacrusis:

1. Scroll to the start of your section

2. Add a bar at the start of your section

3. Select the rests in the bar you have just added. You can select many rests at a time by holding the control key as you click.

4. Press the visibility button. The visibility button appears as an opened or closed eye. Deselect the rests, and see that they have turned blue.

Clicking the visibility button will turn the rests blue

5. Complete your anacrusis with notes

6. The rests will not appear in the published score.
